About Enrica De Melio’s life
What about Enrica De Melio? She was born in Siracusa in 1983. She is a freelance Classical Archaeologist and a Qualified Tourist and Cycle Guide in Sicily (ITA-ENG).
Enrica has always been fond of Ancient History and Art, since her childhood and adolescence were spent in Siracusa, so rich with signs and memories of it’s glorious past, in particular of the Greek period.
In 2005, she holds a Degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences from the University of Catania.
She holds a Degree in Archaeology from the University of Catania in 2007.
In 2011, she holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Archaeology from the School of Advanced Studies in Archaeology of Catania.
About Enrica De Melio’s professional activity
What about Enrica De Melio professional activities? She had various experiences of archaeological excavation in different sites of Sicily, like in Siracusa, Lentini and in Akrai with a mission from the Institute of Archaeology University of Warsaw.
Enrica collaborates and works with privates, cultural associations, museums and societies as an archaeologist and a tour guide.
She love traveling, taking photos and walking/biking while discovering new places, where you can appreciate different cultures by experiencing their food, scents, colours and above all, people.
Enrica has a strong passion for the cultural heritage and ancient history of her beautiful Sicily, and as an expert connoisseur of her land, she’ll love to share with you her knowledge of Sicilian archaeology, art, architecture, food and wine through her guided walking/biking tours.
